Friday at last!

Happy Valentines Day My friends!!!
I'm pretty sure this was the longest week of my life!! Being so low on food is really really hard. I think what I hated the most was feeding my kids crap! The cheapest bread, the cheapest peanut butter, no veggies or fruit. AcK!! But I tried to remind myself that at least they had SOMETHING to eat and that is more then alot of people in this world. We went shopping this morning and after eating the cupcake above (they were giving them out free at the Superstore) they sat down to a healthy lunch. A bowl FULL of grapes, blackberries, strawberries and blueberries, carrot sticks and hummus, cucumbers, rice crackers. That makes this mama so happy!! I did pretty good with our budget. We have $400 for two weeks and I spent $180, so that leaves $220 to shop next weekend. A tip for those of you near a Superstore. They discount their meat by 50% on Fridays.. seems to be every Friday. That saves a lot of money if you are a meat eater. I got Mike and I a T-bone steak for tomorrow night for $4.00.

Speaking of my lovely hubby.. a little update. He has lost 9 pounds in 11 days!!!! And I have lost 3. We are both finding this extremely easy. Just making little adjustments here and there and keeping track of how many calories are in the foods we eat is what is doing it. Tonight is movie night and we would usually have some sweet treats but tonight we are going to have chai tea lattes with a small shaving of dark chocolate for our treat. And tomorrow for our Valentines dinner we are splitting a smallish steak and on the side instead of the usual baked potato and caesar salad we are going to have a spinach salad. And Lattes for dessert :)

Happy weekend to you all!!!

How beautiful both the shot and the fact that you were able to save so much!!!
I put you up on my site!
Also, how in the world did you get your bokeh to come out like christmas lights were in the background? Are you using an aperture filter?

You are so sweet!! I actually have a string of Christmas lights that I use for the bokeh, I keep it out all year.. but for this shot I added a bokeh texture in layers after I took the photo :)

This is a great shot, Sebrina. It will make an excellent card for your Etsy shop next year at Valentines Day. =) Such a different feel and voice from your post a couple of days ago. I can hear and sense the relief. Happy Friday and Happy Weekend to you, too.

That is just a gorgeous shot. I'm so glad you got to go grocery shopping today. You've been in my thoughts and prayers.

And, Happy Valentine's Day to you both! You're such a cute couple! :)

How nice of the store to hand out something so lovely for free.

It looks to nice to eat... but I think I would have had no problem biting into it.
