My new toy

Guess what I got :)

I got my new macro lens today!! I am so excited and it came at the perfect time because I am was feeling a little uninspired the last few days. But seeing things through a macro is like seeing things for the first time. The above picture is my very first shot with the lens. I have to say a big huge thank you to everyone who bought pictures from me. In total I have sold 12 and that helped to pay for the lens along with gift cards from my parents (and mike sacrificing his birthday present for me.. he will use this lens too though.. if he can pry it out of my hands)

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!!

I love close-up shots, too. A macro feature was one of the "musts" for my new digital camera - not as fancy as yours, but a good quality "point-and-shoot" one which I'm enjoying, though not using as much these days as right before Christmas!

Hi I finally found my way back to your blog... and then here. Your work is beautiful, Sebrina! Are you sharing which macro you bought? I've been researching several lately, but just can't find the money they want...

Hi Ramona!!! I got the Canon 60mm F/2.8 USM. I really love it!! Not cheap though.. but then is anything really with this hobby??

Ramona March 10, 2009 at 1:58 PM

Nope, not cheap but more affordable then the ones I was drooling over- the one I really wanted (until I saw the price that is)went on sale for $1400.00... and well, lets say it's not comin' to my home (but I could play with a similar one to it at my Mom's....). This one looks really good- you've been great with it.
