My heart is broken
>> January 22, 2009
I saw this video on my friend's blog. I don't usually post these emotional video's but this one I had too. I am typing this through tears right now because I feel helpless. I feel ashamed when I look around at my home and all the things I take for granted every day. How we just toss aside our furnishings and clothes because they aren't new anymore. I don't really have any words right now but I did want to share this.
I'm back after the tears have subsided a bit to add this link. My lovely friend Donna did some link following and found this catalogue of affordable things that you can donate. Please share this with everyone you know. We can all make a difference. I really believe that. After watching Obama's inauguration speech the other day I feel full of hope and I think the world is ready for a change.

Words just cannot express.
Here is the San Damiano link I followed from the film.

If you scroll down to the pictures at the bottom you will see the children and how much progress they have made.
Its just heart breaking to see children suffer like that. A very sobering rebuke to the excesses and consumerism of our environment
Oh Sebrina! Thank you for sharing that! It needs to be shared with everyone - I am going to post it too if you don't mind.
Rana - weeping tears of sadness for the children who have nothing yet still love and care for one another
wow...really makes celebrating my new computer seem beyond shallow! words escape me...tears...tears I have in abundance.
Thanks for sharing this Seb. It seems like every once in a while, I need a reminder of just how fortunate we really are and also how little it takes to do so much. Mom xo
I'd like to thank you for posting this. I haven't cried that hard in a while, and though it was torture to see the suffering, it did my heart so much good to see how grateful I can be fore what I have... and grateful to know that these beautiful babes are not suffering anymore.
This was so important to see, so I thank you again.
